philosophy
I believe that design is most successful when the process is fueled by the design philosophy of “creating the visual narrative.” When what we see tells the story too, then the environment is actively supporting the project. Regardless of the format, subject matter or industry, use of the visual narrative provides clarity to the choices made during design development and broadens our understanding of the relationships established between components.
Inherently collaborative in its own right, the design process gains depth and insight as client interaction fuels creativity that motivates and energizes.
The accomplishments, creative milestones and visual experiences I have shared in the privilege of contributing through the design process have all benefited from believing in and confidently applying the ideas behind the “visual narrative.”

about me
From Europe to Asia and all across the United States, I have collaborated on projects for theatre, film, television, museums, trade events, retail, exhibits, restaurants, product showrooms, corporate interiors and point of purchase. I am passionate about quality work and prefer a hands-on approach, managing the development while allowing creative collaboration to foster new ideas and input from all who are engaged in the process.
My work as a designer, creative director and design director circulates around creating visual stories that support branding positions, products, marketing campaigns and themed environments. Client-focused with the desire to lead the discussion and drive development is where I find my work is at its best.
I am technically proficient in computer technology including server-side administration, CAD management and network rendering techniques as well as an end user of CAD, 3D modelling and imaging software. The advanced to expert skills I have amassed provide balance with the traditional design tools such as a sketchbook, a watercolour paint brush and a drafting table.
My creative endeavours extend further as I too find freelance work as an industrial designer of furniture as well as supporting other designers, architects and planners with sketches, renderings, CAD drafting and presentations. And when the time is right, I am avid glassblower who never finds enough hours in front of the glass furnace to do what I want to do next. -
